Gina DeZutti, Psy.D.

Postdoctoral Resident

Dr. Gina DeZutti is originally from the Chicagoland area where she earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Illinois School of Professional Psychology (ISPP) at NLU in Chicago. Throughout her graduate school education, she gained four years of clinical experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting where she provided therapy to children, adolescents, and adults with severe mental illnesses. Her exposure to the inpatient population facilitated Gina’s dissertation research, which focused on verbal de-escalation techniques for those experiencing a range of psychotic symptoms. Simultaneously, Dr. DeZutti gained experience in psychological testing at a separate inpatient facility with child and adolescent populations.

For the last three years, she has expanded her skill set to private practice and community health settings, where she continued to provide psychotherapeutic interventions to children, adolescents, and adults. Throughout her clinical experience, Dr. DeZutti has discovered the importance of meeting her clients where they are emotionally, and providing them with the tools and support to heal at their own pace. During her internship year, she had the opportunity to expand her testing skills by providing assessments to adults with a variety of psychiatric disorders.

During her free time, Dr. DeZutti likes to play Pokemon TCG and watch true crime documentaries with her 4 cats, Smokey, Ms. B, Geralt, and Bug.
